Acadian Flooring Design Center, the Northshore branch of Acadian Carpet Center, is a third generation, family owned floor covering business that has been serving the needs of South Louisiana for more than 30 years. Our industry-trained and certified sales professionals have hundreds of years of combined experience to fully assist you in your buying experience.  We also have design consultants on staff to help coordinate paint, granite, and cabinetry to ensure that your house becomes your “dream home”.

Our Family

Don Barge is the sole owner of the company, with nearly a third of his employees being immediate family.  His daughter Terri and her husband Timothy both work for the company, as well as his two grand-daughters Brittany Breaux and Lindsey Seibert. Brittany’s husband Josh has also dedicated his career to the company.

Acadian offers the areas' most comprehensive selection of carpet, vinyl, ceramic tile, hardwood, laminate floors, and much more. Our product selection is first quality materials from top manufacturers with full factory warranties.  We also offer an unbeatable lifetime installation warranty, which sets us apart from many other flooring retailers.

Whether you are looking to purchase material only, or have us complete your project from start to finish, come to Acadian Flooring Design Center, so we can ensure your utmost satisfaction.  As Don once said, “We’ve built this business on customer satisfaction, and that’s why we are successful!”

 Acadian Flooring Design Center

A large percentage of the employees and installers at Acadian have been with the business for many years – some for decades.  A lot has changed since 1980, but the honest values and dedication to customer service that inspired Don to start a new flooring store have stayed the same.
